A rover was a type of six-wheeled all terrain vehicle utilised by Starfleet in the 23rd century. It was primarily used for transporting personnel, but its electric motor was powerful enough to haul cargo. The passenger area could seat at least four people and was protected by a roll cage.
Two sets of two rovers were assigned to the starship USS Sagittarius in the 2260s. The first two were named Roxy and Ziggy and the latter two were Blitzen and Vixen. (VAN novel: Storming Heaven, Seekers novel: Second Nature)
