Roy Murphy was a security officer serving on the USS Enterprise-D in 2371, holding the rank of Ensign. Murphy was one of the team assigned to provide security during the inauguration ceremonies for Governor Ra'ch B'ullhy of Damiano. He was assigned to the entrances to the dining hall with Wong and Mel. Along with Horowitz and Da'v, he saved B'ullhy from an assassination attempt involved her shower.
