S'hanclado was the captain of the Reman D'deridex-class starship, the Intrakhu, in 2409. His ship detected a Starfleet ship entering orbit of Iconia, well within Romulan space, and engaged them in battle. The ship was destroyed, but S'hanclado survived in an escape pod and was brought aboard the Starfleet ship for questioning. He gave them access codes to allow them to infiltrate an Iconian base.
