The SS Shostakovich was a civilian hospital ship in service in the mid 24th century. It was named for the 21st century human doctor who discovered the cure for cancer.

In 2381, the Shostakovich transported a team of Starfleet and civilian doctors to planet P'Jem to care for survivors of the Borg Invasion of that year. (ST novel: A Singular Destiny)
