Sachem IV was a planet that was home to a small Federation agricultural colony in the 23rd century.

In the 2260s, the majority of the citizens of Sachem IV worked in the colony's agricultural industry and only one person, Jon Anderson, left the planet to join Starfleet. Because of this, Anderson became a target for replacement by a Klingon agent in 2266. (TOS novel: Errand of Vengeance: The Edge of the Sword).
