Salva II was the second planet of the Salva system, located between the Federation and the Cardassian Union. Salva II was a Federation colony until the Federation-Cardassian Treaty of 2370, when it was turned over to the Cardassians. Most of the displaced colonists relocated to planet Marva IV. The system was left largely uninhabited by the Cardassians, and thus was used as an occasional Maquis base. (TNG - Slings and Arrows eBook: A Weary Life)
