Saransk was a male Hirogen hunter.
In the year 2381, the Hirogen hunting vessel that Saransk served on attacked and boarded the Federation starship USS Aventine after Aventine passed through a subspace tunnel to end up near the Carina Arm near the median between the Delta and Gamma Quadrants. Saransk and his fellow hunter Dossok, were to infiltrate the Aventine's engineering computer core, but were killed by Lonnoc Kedair. (ST - Destiny novel: Mere Mortals)
