Sardax was a Vulcan who proved the viability of interstellar travel on Stardate 0/2001.

He developed a method of travelling through space by the use of the base camp approach for long range exploration. This involved the use of a series of supply and support colonies which were later founded within a ten light year radius of the planet Vulcan. Succeeding generations of Vulcan colonists later continued this wave of expansion into the stars. (FASA RPG module: The Federation)
