Satan's Robot was the robot servant of the evil Doctor Chaotica in the fictional 20th century Earth science fiction series The Adventures of Captain Proton.

History and specifics[]

Satan's Robot was taller than a normal humanoid. It had a cylindrical core, legs, arms ending in grasping claws, and a crude face. It could be summoned via a wrist communicator, and spoke in a mechanical tone. (Star Trek: The Magazine vol. 2, Issue 11: "Briefing: Captain Proton")

Satan's Robot accompanied Chaotica to Mars, where the evil mastermind was acquiring components to build a mind control ray. When Captain Proton and Buster Kincaid confronted him at the Mars Space Laboratory, the robot came after them. Weapons fire bounced off its metallic surface. It was described as being virtually unstoppable, though slow-moving. (VOY - Star Trek: Explorer short story: "Kill Captain Proton!")

Satan's Robot was often rendered as a hologram during Tom Paris's recreations of Captain Proton adventures on the USS Voyager's holodeck. During one simulation in 2375, the robot kidnapped Constance Goodheart, Proton's secretary. Seven of Nine assumed the role of Goodheart at this point and disabled the robot by ripping out internal components. (VOY episode: "Night")

In 2375, when photonic aliens visited Voyager, they damaged the robot. Once repaired by Proton and Kincaid, it warned them of "invaders from the fifth dimension", and joined their side, aiding them to prevent Chaotica from killing more of the aliens. (VOY episode: "Bride of Chaotica!")

In 2378, when Voyager was fractured into different time periods, Kathryn Janeway visited the holodeck program and was grabbed by Satan's Robot. Chaotica ordered her released, as he recognized her as Arachnia, Queen of the Spider People. (VOY episode: "Shattered")
