In 1986, Schimmerman lived on Irving Street and owned the house where Gillian Taylor lived as well. When she noticed Taylor's disappearance, she pestered Detective Chizum of the San Francisco Police Department into investigating, which he reluctantly did. (TOS short story: "Whales Weep Not")
