Sector G17 is a region of space located in the Gamma Quadrant and contains an area known as "the Abyss". In the vicinity of G17 are the planets' Keltari and Caldonia III.

In 2370, the IKS K'Tang was destroyed by a Romulan D'deridex-class warbird shortly after entering the sector. (DS9 comic: Hearts and Minds - Prelude).
