A security office is an area of a starship or facility which serves as a main hub area for the security officer's assigned to that ship or facility. (TNG eBook: A Sea of Troubles)

Aboard Deep Space 9, the security office was located on the Promenade and was often occupied by the station's chief of security. The security office was also linked to the station's brig, which was located directly behind the security office. (DS9 episode: "Emissary" et al.)
