Selok was a Vulcan male and a Professor at Starfleet Medical Academy in the 2360s. One of his students was Julian Bashir, who regarded him as his favorite teacher. Bashir thought that sometimes he could see anger in Selok's eyes.

Bashir recalled Selok in 2370. After he met Talis Cedara, he thought she had the professional expertise and authority of Selok. (DS9 novel: Warchild)
