In the mirror universe, a Senator was a political position held by members of the Terran Empire and signified membership in the Imperial Senate. Senators were elected by votes from citizens with each world holding representation in the Senate. However, key important worlds tended to hold a higher number of Senators compared to others. There was no term elections or regulation which meant that incumbent Senators remained in their post unless removed. The only method this was achieved was through a large public scandal or by assassination. (Decipher RPG module: Through a Glass, Darkly)
