The Sensor Control Center, commonly known as the sensor room, was a room located on deck 12 of Federation Constitution-class starships in the 23rd century.

History and specifics[]

All sensor information aboard a starship came through the center and every scrap of data was took in and recorded. Although the functions of the center were generally automatic, one person was always on duty in the room to make sure that everything was functioning correctly.

Unusually, during the USS Constellation's survey of the Beta Proxima neutron star in late 2266, her Sensor Control Center had been manned by no less than four people at one time. (TOS - The Brave and the Bold, Book One novella: The First Artifact)
