The Shakaar was a cell of the Bajoran Resistance during the Occupation of Bajor. Named after its leader Shakaar Edon, it conducted a series of attacks against the Cardassian forces on the planet. It was in existence by the 2350s.

Members

Kira Nerys joined the Shakaar in 2355, after being recruited by Lorit Akrem. (DS9 episode: "Indiscretion")

Other members included Furel, Lupaza, Istani Reyla, Mobara, Latha Mabrin, Shiri Rond and Gantt. (DS9 comic: "Old Wound"; DS9 episodes: "Shakaar", "The Darkness and the Light", "Ties of Blood and Water"; DS9 novel: Avatar)

Fighting the Cardassians

The administration building in Golar Province was one target attacked by the Shakaar, as was a weapons depot in Hathon commanded by Gul Pirak. Silaran Prin was disfigured in the latter attack. (DS9 episodes: "Rules of Engagement", "The Darkness and the Light")

The Shakaar liberated Gallitep in 2357 and were the first to see the horrors that the Cardassians had inflicted on the people. (DS9 episode: "Duet")

In the winter of 2361, the Shakaar spent their time in the Dahkur Hills, trying to avoid detection by the Cardassians. (DS9 episode: "Second Skin")

In the late 2360s (possibly 2366 or 2367), the Shakaar initiated a plan to kidnap Glinn Gundar. (DS9 short story: "The Officers' Club")

Aftermath

Aamin Marritza (posing as Gul Darhe'el) told Kira Nerys the Shakaar did nothing more than a "annoy" the Cardassian forces. (DS9 episode: "Duet")

Some members of the group reunited in 2371, when Kai Winn Adami sent the Bajoran Militia to arrest Shakaar himself. (DS9 episode: "Shakaar")

In 2372, Klingon Advocate Ch'Pok mentioned the Shakaar when questioning Kira as a witness in Worf's trial. (DS9 episode: "Rules of Engagement")

Most of the Shakaar members were killed in 2373, after Silaran Prin exacted his revenge on them. (DS9 episode: "The Darkness and the Light")
