This character is a member of Shar's family.

Shathrissia zh'Cheen or Thriss was an Andorian zhen, the zhei of Andorian artist Sessethantis zh'Cheen and zhri'za (child by marriage) of Councillor Charivretha zh'Thane. Thriss was in a bondgroup with Anichent, Dizhei and Shar, all of whom called her zh'yi with great affection.

Of all her bondmates, Thriss seemed most at odds with Anichent, her passionate nature and his more pedestrian one being at direct odds as well as their strong feelings for Shar which resulted in mutual jealousy. Anichent was the first to develop a romantic attatchment with Shar, however, the tezha between Thriss and Shar compromised the bond between Thriss and her bondmates, making her feel closest to Shar and apart from Anichent and Dizhei. (DS9 - Mission Gamma novel: This Gray Spirit)

In late 2374, Thriss was on the planet Betazed when that world was taken by the Dominion. Thriss participated in relief efforts, digging survivors out of the rubble following the initial attack. One of the people rescued by Thriss was Ambassador Lwaxana Troi. (ST - Tales of the Dominion War short story: "The Ceremony of Innocence is Drowned")

Thriss travelled with Anichent and Dizhei to Deep Space 9 in June of 2376 to try to convince Shar to return to Andoria. (DS9 - Mission Gamma novel: Twilight)

Thriss and Shar shared in the tezha; this resulted in far greater dependence on Shar's company. When Shar went to the Gamma Quadrant for an extended period in 2376, the situation drove Thriss to depression and eventually committed suicide by arithrazine overdose in July. (DS9 - Mission Gamma novels: This Gray Spirit, Cathedral)

Thriss' Sending was held several months later. (DS9 - Worlds of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine novel: Andor: Paradigm)
