The Silgov were a humanoid species. One prominent Silgov living in Federation space was the businesswoman Manón. Her skin was emerald-green but pale. Manón's eyes were almond shaped and almost feline, and her face sported an almost imperceptible nose.

Traveling was not an imperative among the Silgov. However, individuals could long to travel.

Their culture included nobility. Manón was a noble before the Vekhals invasion of Silgov Prime. (VAN novel: Storming Heaven)

As members of the Breen Confederacy, Silgov wore the equalizing bodysuit, completely obscuring their physiology except for the fact that they were humanoid. However, movement and gait could give away a Silgov to somebody with experience with various Breen species. (ST - Section 31 novel: Disavowed)


At some point before the year 2265, Silgov Prime was invaded by Vekhal forces. The female Silgov Manón left the planet as a result and traveled 3,000 light-years through space. She encountered numerous civilizations but no other Silgov. Manón found a safe haven in Federation space, staying on Bolarus IX for a time and then set up her business, Manón's, on Starbase Vanguard. By the late 24th century, Silgov Prime was a member of the Breen Confederacy, and the Silgov were required to wear Breen body armor to hide their physiology. Nevertheless, in 2386, Federation Breen specialist Doctor Julian Bashir recognized Thot Trom as a Silgov through his gait. (ST - Section 31 novel: Disavowed)
