For other uses, see Sinak.

Sinak was a male Vulcan serving in Starfleet in the 23rd century.

History

As of the late 2270s, he held the rank of lieutenant, and was communications officer aboard the USS Gagarin.

In 2279, the Gagarin was attacked by Klingons, and Sinak was among the twenty-two crew members taken prisoner. Sinak spent the following eight years in a prison camp on the planet Pao'la, sharing a cell with fellow crewmate Robert Kawaguchi, and forced to work in that world's dilithium mines. Though he outwardly appeared to be a stereotypical Vulcan, he recognized the importance of maintaining a positive emotional state amongst his crewmates.

Sinak was rescued from Pao'la in 2287, in a joint operation by Captains Koloth and James T. Kirk. (TOS novel: In the Name of Honor)
