Sirol was a Romulan male in the 24th century, and commander of the IRW Terix. In 2370, Sirol investigated reports of an illegal Federation cloaking device. The device was discovered by the crew of the USS Enterprise, and turned over to Sirol in order to allieviate the potential diplomatic fallout. (TNG episode: "The Pegasus")

Knowing that the phasing cloak would create an imbalance of power likely to lead to war, Sirol later agreed to assist Federation covert agent Mackenzie Calhoun in destroying the device. (NF short story: "Loose Ends")
