The Skylla was a teardrop-shaped warp-capable starship in the 23rd century. It had a protruding pod on the starboard side, with a number of black market modifications to improve stealth, speed and offensive and defensive capabilities. It was crewed by Dochyiel, Ertobor, Zurtmank, and an unnamed chief engineer who was best friends with their employer, the owner of the ship.

In 2267, T'Prynn and Tim Pennington stole the "lovely ship" from a smuggler's cove on Ajilon Prime. Pennington renamed the ship after one of the mythological horses who pulled Poseidon's chariot. (VAN novel: Precipice)

It is unknown what the ship was called before Pennington renamed it.
