Small craft is a catch-all term for various types of spacefaring craft with minimal crew and generally less than 50 meters in length (usually much less).

The term small craft includes Starfleet shuttlecraft, shuttlepods, runabouts, liaison cutters, and can include civilian small starships of comparable size, such as those operated by Cyrano Jones or Neelix.
