Smeet the Oblivious

Smeet the Oblivious was the legendarilly horrible Grand Nagus of the Ferengi Alliance. Smeet had no lobes for business, and so had the unfortunate distinction of being the only Grand Nagus ever assassinated. His First Clerk was also assassinated and was believed to have been buried with him. (DS9 episode: "Ferengi Love Songs")

Rumors abound even to the present that Smeet had had the statue in the Tower of Commerce depicting Gint, the messianic first Grand Nagus, replaced with a cheap copy. (DS9 novel: Ferenginar: Satisfaction is Not Guaranteed)
