Solitaire was an Earth playing card game which was played by a single person, and was similar to double jack.

History and specifics[]

In the year 2266, Ben Childress mistook Eve McHuron's game of double jack to be a game of solitaire. (TOS episode: "Mudd's Women")

Janice Rand was playing a game of solitaire in the USS Enterprise's rec room. When Charles Evans entered the same rec room, he went over to Janice and observed her as she attempted to play the game out. When she then failed to make the game come out, he solved it for her and went on to perform a number of tricks with the cards. (TOS episode: "Charlie X"; TOS - Star Trek 1 novelization: Charlie's Law)
