In the mirror universe, Solkar was a male Vulcan who lived in the 21st century. He had a son named Skon. Solkar was the grandfather of Sarek, and the great-grandfather of Spock. (TOS movie: Star Trek III: The Search for Spock and TOS episode: "Mirror, Mirror").

In the mid 21st century, Solkar was the Captain of the survey ship T'Plana-Hath. On April 5th, 2063 the T'Plana-Hath was passing through the Sol system when it discovered a human warp signature. Following procedure, Solkar had the T'Plana-Hath proceed to Earth to investigate the warp signature, and landed at the settlement in Montana where the Phoenix was launched from. Solkar was the first to exit the T'Plana-Hath, and met the creator of the warp ship, Zefram Cochrane.

Solkar exited the T'Plana-Hath, and gave Cochrane the Vulcan salute. Cochrane responded by taking his rifle and shooting Solkar, killing him. Cochrane and the other people living in the settlement then stormed the Vulcan ship, and captured her. They used the technology contained within to move out into the interstellar community - establishing the Terran Empire as an interstellar power. (ENT episode: "In a Mirror, Darkly")
