The Son'a battleship was a starship class in service to Son'a Command in the late 24th century. The battleship's design was similar to the Son'a battle cruiser but featured fewer armaments and no isolytic weaponry. (ST video game: Armada mission Paradise Revisited)
Specifications[]
The Son'a battleship resembled the battle cruiser but lacked a superstructure on top. In terms of armament, the battleship was a match for a Federation Starfleet Akira-class heavy escort or a Defiant-class destroyer. The battleship was more powerful than a Son'a destroyer. Its armaments consisted of red phasers and photon torpedoes. (ST video game: Armada mission Paradise Revisited)
History[]
In 2376, renegade Son'a attempted to retake the planet Ba'ku from the Ba'ku and dispatched eight battleships and a dozen destroyers to attack Starfleet Outpost 40. The Starfleet force defending the planet was led by Ambassador Worf, who had returned to Starfleet temporarily and commanded the USS Avenger. The Son'a fleet was soundly defeated.
