Sorium and argine are used in locator bombs. In 2369, Krax and Rom used such a device, with sorium as part of it, in an attempt to kill Quark. (DS9 episode: "The Nagus")

In 2374, Worf placed sorium charges in Leej Terrell's facility on Hass'terral which could be detonated from the USS Defiant. (DS9 video game: The Fallen)
