Sotir was a male Vulcan political scientist in the 21st century, the former mate of T'Lera and father of Sorahl. In the early 2040s, T'Kahr Sotir published a paper which called into question the precepts of the Vulcan Prime Directive, suggesting that benevolent interference with a less advanced culture would produce more positive results than negative. His ideas were questioned, in part, because he himself had never been off Vulcan. (TOS novel: Strangers from the Sky)
