Southeast Asia was a region on the Asian continent on Earth, generally defined as including the nation-states of Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Burma, Thailand, and others. The 1959-1975 conflict known as the Vietnam War was fought across Southeast Asia, beyond Vietnam's political borders.
