Space Central was an underground city on planet Mestiko, created in the aftermath of "The Pulse" in 2264. It was the location of the planet's spaceflight center, as well as its governmental body, the Zamestaad. Its role as an interplanetary port also made Space Central the market capital of Mestiko. "Space Central" also seems to refer specifically to the space flight facilities, as well as its controlling authority.

Books Four through Six of Mere Anarchy use the name vosTraal for Mestiko's capital city. It is unclear whether this is a separate locale from Space Central, or the same city's native name.
