The Space Guard is the branch of the Bajoran Militia responsible for maintaining Bajor's fleet of starships. Li Nalas' father, Colonel Li Tarka, was a command officer in the Space Guard. (TLE - Terok Nor novel: Day of the Vipers)

Like much of Bajor's military, the Space Guard was left in shambles during the Cardassian occupation. Its current status, post-withdrawal, is unknown.
