Space Station KR-3 served as a depot for the distribution of personnel and weapons to the Romulan border stations. The station was only five decks thick, and resembled the letter 'Y' when viewed from the "top".

In 2311, it was commanded by Admiral Los Tirasol Mentir. Doctor Van Riper was the station's Chief Medical Officer at the time. (TLE novel: Serpents Among the Ruins)
