The Spinrad was a shuttlecraft assigned to the Federation starship USS Enterprise-E in the early 2380s decade.

History and specifics[]

In the year 2380, Ambassador Spock, Lieutenant Commander Geordi La Forge and Seven of Nine used the Spinrad to board the "planet killer" in orbit of the planet Epsilon Sigma V. (TNG novel: Before Dishonor)

The Spinrad was presumably named in honor of Norman SpinradMA, the writer of the TOS episode: "The Doomsday Machine".
