This character is a member of Spock's family.
For other uses, see Spock.

Spock 2 was the name given to a giant clone of the Vulcan Spock.

Biography[]

He was created by Stavos Keniclius 5 in the year 2270 as the beginning of a clone army to impose peace on the Milky Way Galaxy, but the Federation's existence made that unnecessary. Consequently, both Spock 2 and Keniclius 5 stayed on Phylos II to try and save the Phylosians. (TAS episode & Log Two novelization: The Infinite Vulcan)

Spock 2 was 7.5 meters tall. Together with Keniclius, they invented a cure for the Phylosians' sterility caused by the staphylococcus virus, phylocite.

Unfortunately, Spock 2's heart failed three months after he was created, and he died on Phylos II. Keniclius noted in his personal journal having overlooked an obvious limitation of his cloning tanks, that they were calibrated for himself, rather than for Spock's hybrid physiology. Keniclius was unable to salvage the Vulcan's neural pathways in time to make another clone. His Phylosian associates buried Spock 2 some distance away from their city. (Adventures RPG module: The Animated Series Supplemental Guide)

By the 24th century, Spock 2's remains had been unearthed. His skeletal remains and tattered uniform became part of Kerner Hauze's collection in 2381. (LD episode: "Kayshon, His Eyes Open")

Keniclius's journal entry was dated 19 May 2269. However, the Memory Beta Chronology places Spock 2's birth and death in 2270 based on associated information from the series' other novelizations.
