Starbase 77 was a Federation Starfleet starbase with a space station facility in the 24th century. (TNG video games: Armada, Armada II)

No history or fate was established for this starbase as the name was randomly assigned to a playing field station by the game software.

In May 2311 the USS Enterprise-B returned to Starbase 77, three months after the Tomed Incident and one month after the subsequent signing of the Treaty of Algeron.

With the withdrawal of the Romulans from galactic affairs as a result of the treaty and the avoidance of full-scale interstellar war, a more peaceful and hopeful outlook began to reassert itself over Starfleet and the Federation. As such, on her arrival at Starbase 77 the Enterprise was scheduled to undergo three days of refitting to install special scientific equipment for the ship's first non-military mission in a long time. Her new exploratory mission would launch from Starbase 77 and would take them towards the Röntgen Wall, an unexplained cosmological anomaly.

While at Starbase 77, some personnel changes were made in the Enterprise crew roster. Ensign Borona Fenn -- a Frunelian science officer -- would take a two-month leave of absence from her duties to undergo the Shift on her home planet. Captain John Harriman stepped down as commanding officer of the Enterprise after Starfleet Command approved of her current first officer Commander Demora Sulu being promoted to captain and stepping up as his replacement. The Röntgen Wall mission would be Sulu's first mission as captain of the Enterprise. (TLE novel: Serpents Among the Ruins)
