Starbase 99 was a Federation Starfleet starbase with a space station facility in the 23rd and 24th centurys. In 2288, the station was commanded by Commander Vachevsky, from a mushroom-shaped repair and service facility. It also included additional orbital stations, including an office and docking complex. Captain Montgomery Scott and Doctor Leonard McCoy attended a series of medical and engineering seminars aboard the once of the station's orbital complexes in 2288. The two subsequently became embroiled in the affairs of Binzala religious refugees Dareela, Fass, Sova and Kalli while seeking "a real adventure." (ST comic: "A Little Adventure...")

No history or fate was established for this starbase in Armada II; the name was randomly assigned to a playing field station by the game software.
