Starfleet Medical Forensics Division was an organization within Starfleet Medical which dealt with forensic medicine, and which was responsible for teaching forensic medicine to Starfleet Medical Academy students. This division was formed between 2336 and 2344 by Admiral Leonard McCoy, who recruited Dr. Jo Stern, formerly chief medical officer of the USS Enterprise-C, as its head.

The Forensics Division was headquartered in San Francisco, and also had at least one field office, in the city of Washington, DC. In 2377, Dr. Elizabeth Lense became head of the Washington office. (CoE eBook: Ghost)
