The earliest Starfleet uniforms that entered use in the late 22nd century, were a radical departure from the uniforms of the Earth Starfleet in the 2150s, in that the main color of uniforms was white, but the departmental color was shown in the collar and an assignment patch was worn on the breast of the uniform. (TAS episode: "The Time Trap")
- These uniforms would have fallen out of use or been supplemented by another design by the 2230s, where TOS movie & novelization: Star Trek describes yellow and blue tunic uniforms on 2230s officers.
