Steak
Steak is a type of food, a serving-size cut of meat. On Earth, the most common steaks are those cut from beef, although lamb and fish have similar preparations.
Both Jonathan Archer and Charles Tucker III of the Enterprise (NX-01) ate steak quite frequently when dining together. Matthew Ryan of the ECS Fortunate enjoyed the first steak he had had in months when he shared a meal with Ensign Travis Mayweather on board the Enterprise. (ENT episode: "Fortunate Son")
In the 2260s, Maglus of the Klingon battlecruiser IKS Fire Blossom was known to order a rare steak and four fried eggs for breakfast. (TOS novel: How Much for Just the Planet?)
Hikaru Sulu once told Nyota Uhura of a place on Earth he knew which served steaks two inches thick, with a Murvonian coconut punch that tasted like "paradise in a glass." (TOS comic: "Furlough to Fury")
When it appeared that Jadzia Dax was going to cancel her wedding to Worf, Julian Bashir prepared to enjoy a steak to mark the end of his participation in Kal'Hyah. He was prevented from enjoying this meal by Benjamin Sisko. (DS9 episode: "You Are Cordially Invited...")
