Stonn was a male Vulcan who lived during the 23rd century.
He was born in the same year as Spock, son of Sarek, and was part of the same coming-of-age ceremony in 2247. (TOS novel: Vulcan's Forge) While Spock was away from Vulcan serving in Starfleet, Stonn began a relationship with T'Pring, who had been betrothed to Spock. (TOS novel: Vulcan's Glory)
When Spock experienced pon farr and returned to Vulcan to take T'Pring as his wife. T'Pring, however, invoked the kal-if-fee and forced Spock to fight James T. Kirk for her hand in marriage, so that she would be able to stay with Stonn. Spock ultimately decided to allow Stonn to take T'Pring as his wife, warning him that having her would not be the same as wanting her. (TOS episode: "Amok Time")
In 2288, Stonn and T'Pring were married as well as had at least one child, T'Ariis though by the time she grew up she had little respect for her father. He also had a second wife who was Sepora and at this time he suffered from an illness but he did not inform his family; allowing his daughter to blame Sepora and Seproa to blame T'Ariis. Stonn later died from the disease he was suffering from in that year. (TOS comics: "Bait...and Switch", "Rivals (comic)")
- This contradicts events within the novels which shows that he survived into the late 24th century.
By 2373, Stonn along with his wife T'Pring were members of the Symmetrists movement and involved in the Virogen Crisis along with their grandson Srell. (TOS novel: Avenger)
Alternate universes
Edit
In an alternate universe where Spock had never been born, Stonn was the consort of T'Pring, the aide to Councillor Sarek, and served as a science officer aboard the ICV Kuvak, with the rank of Sublieutenant. He was killed when the Kuvak was destroyed by Romulans over Babel. (ST - Myriad Universes novel: A Less Perfect Union)
