A stun grenade was a type of weapon used to stun a target, temporarily disabling them.

In the 24th century the Cardassians used stun grenades. When Kira Nerys was leading an assault on the Cardassian mining moon Davonia she secured a number of stun grenades from downed Cardassians and then used them to set bobby traps to take out more of her opponents. (DS9 novel: Devil in the Sky)
