The Sulamid are a civilization native to somewhere in the Alpha or Beta Quadrants of the galaxy. They are members of the Federation.

A Sulamid is between two and three meters tall and resembles a bundle of tentacles, constantly moving and changing color. At the top of bundle are eight stalked eyes with triangular pupils. They possess octocameral brains, with eight separate personalities. They have a mouth hidden inside their many tentacles, with sharp teeth. The species is composed of twelve genders, all of whom insist they're male, especially the ones that bear children.
