BackgroundEdit

ApocryphaEdit

The ebook Ship Recognition Manual, Volume 1: The Ships of Starfleet, published by Last Unicorn Games after they had lost their Star Trek licence identified the Surak-class as being a type of escort which entered service in 2355. The sourcebook also identifies the USS Gha'tal (NCC-35892) as being a ship of this class.
