Switzerland was a regional country in Europe, on planet Earth. It bordered Italy and the popular Swiss Alps.

Switzerland was noted for its solid banking industry and its financial information security. In the 22nd century, the secretive natives of Adigeon Prime were compared to the Swiss. (ENT novel: Kobayashi Maru)

Montgomery Scott owned a Swiss Army knife, a tool used by the Swiss military forces beginning in the 20th century. (TOS comic: "The Peacekeeper")
