System J-361 was a type M red dwarf star with an associated star system, located in the galaxy's Delta Quadrant, inside the boundaries of the space claimed by the Borg Collective government. J-361 was a type M red star, and was in the general vicinity of Bora and System J-356. (ST video game: Armada II mission: "Staging Grounds")

History[]

On stardate 54727.7 (2377), the Federation Venture-class scout USS Coltrane detected the staging grounds of the Borg fleet in System J-361 while on a reconnaissance mission. Starfleet dispatched a small fleet, led by the USS Enterprise-E, to locate the base within the system. Once the Borg nexus and other installations had been found in the gravity well of a class J gas giant, Starfleet dispatched reinforces to attack and destroy the staging grounds. During the destruction of the base, the Collective sent reinforcements of their own, and a three-way battle ensued when Species 8472 attacked the system as well. Starfleet abandoned their holdings in the system and retreated from J-361. (ST video game: Armada II mission: "Staging Grounds")
