T'Lin's New Catalog (or TNC) was a method of stellar nomenclature, presumably developed by a Vulcan astronomer named T'Lin. T'Lin's New Catalog assigned a string of alphanumeric figures to an astronomical object, commonly abbreviated to a number prefaced by "TNC". (TOS novel: Memory Prime)
