T'saln was a female Vulcan who lived sometime prior to the 21st century. She was a composer who wrote, among other works, Cicadian Suite No. 9. (DS9 - The Lives of Dax short story: "Allegro Ouroboros in D Minor")

The story says T'saln had composed her work "well before Dax's first implantation."
