Memory Beta, non-canon Star Trek Wiki

A friendly reminder regarding spoilers! At present the expanded Trek universe is in a period of major upheaval with the continuations of Discovery and Prodigy, the advent of new eras in gaming with the Star Trek Adventures RPG, Star Trek: Infinite and Star Trek Online, as well as other post-57th Anniversary publications such as the ongoing IDW Star Trek comic and spin-off Star Trek: Defiant. Therefore, please be courteous to other users who may not be aware of current developments by using the {{spoiler}}, {{spoilers}} OR {{majorspoiler}} tags when adding new information from sources less than six months old (even if it is minor info). Also, please do not include details in the summary bar when editing pages and do not anticipate making additions relating to sources not yet in release. THANK YOU

recent removal of data[]

The removal of Hoshi Sato's death was justified. As is explained on the character's page, the information that she died during the Tarsus IV massacre did not make it into the finished episode. Furthermore, her life beyond the 2160s has not yet been depicted of otherwise referenced in any other source that I know of, official or licensed. Lastly, I must wonder why the bit about an attack on Tarsus IV in the alternate timeline was removed, even though a source was referenced there. Is the Star Trek App no longer considered a valid source for this wiki? Or did whoever addded this bit of information here make the same error as in the case of Hoshi and the event described was never actually shown or referenced in the given source? - Bell'Orso (talk) 20:27, October 14, 2017 (UTC)
