"Gods, Fate, and Fractals" in SNW II says the DTI was 102 years, 10 months, 29 days old. That story takes place at the same time as DS9: "By Inferno's Light," which was mid-2373, making the date of DTI's founding mid/late 2270. --70.94.229.133 00:21, 5 May 2006 (UTC)

Thanks. As long as I'm playing sourcing stickler, I may as well note the sourcing on the items of the kirk promotion event: Kirks promotion is from TMP, Reiley as an aide was from the TOS novel "The Lost Years" (or so I've been led to believe -- I haven't read that book). The other aide, Daniel Paris, was mentioned in one of the Stargazer novels. He's the father of "Iron Mike" and Patricia Paris, grandfather of Owen and Cole, and the great-grandad of Tom Paris, and it's mentioned he was an aide to Kirk during his stint as Starfleet Chief of Operations. --Emperorkalan 01:32, 5 May 2006 (UTC)
