how are the dates of the dc comics determined? they start in 2287 right after st5, but by issue 33 Sulu is promoted, which st6 places in 2290. -- Captain MKB 02:20, 28 January 2008 (UTC)

When I moved stuff to the chronology templates I added the comics that were already listed on this page, with a few more or less to make stardates within certain hundreds ranges fit consistently within year periods. But I don't know where the placements came from originally, I would guess just dividing up the stardates between the years they have to fit into. --8of5 04:48, 28 January 2008 (UTC)

Seemingly coincidentally, Sulu's circa 2290 promotion takes place 35 issues into the series that begins in 2287 -- meaning they go through approximately twelve issues per year up until that point. -- Captain MKB 04:53, 28 January 2008 (UTC)

Well do feel free to move things about if they've been poorly placed, the placement of the comics is entirely down to our judgement. --8of5 13:55, 28 January 2008 (UTC)
